On October 23rd, Puerta de Hierro Majadahonda University Hospital joined the RESILIENCE project, so hopefully it will begin to incorporate patients into the trial in the coming days.
This hospital was created in 1964 and, since then, it has fulfilled a triple function: care, teaching and research. Currently, as a public institution dependent on the Ministry of Health of the Community of Madrid, it is a first-level general hospital, without renouncing the values of its foundation and without ceasing to be that center of excellence. Its change of location of the health center to Majadahonda marked the beginning of a new stage in which, in addition to having specially qualified professionals, it has new, more functional facilities and a more advanced technological environment that offers a response to the needs of the population. and the professionals.
At the Hospital we have met with Belén Navarro, principal investigator of the hospital; María Talegón, study coordinator; Ana Montes, nurse; and José Antonio García Vela, hematologist. With the incorporation of this Hospital, RESILIENCE continues to grow with more centers and patients, and thus helping the patients to survive cancer with a strong heart a reality.
