MRI van het hart (of cardiale magnetische resonantie, CMR) is een afbeeldingstechniek die werkt zonder straling, en wordt beschouwd als de gouden standaard voor de beoordeling van de anatomie, functie en zelfs weefselsamenstelling van het hart. De RESILIENCE-studie zal CMR gebruiken als de belangrijkste uitkomstmaatmethodologie, en patiënten die aan de studie deelnemen, zullen gedurende de duur van de studie drie MRI scans ondergaan.
Het gaat om een internationale, prospective haalbaarheidsstudie wat betekent dat patienten gedurende een bepaalde tijd gevolgd worden. Daarbij gaat het om een randomiseerd onderzoek met een controlegroep om de werkzaamheid en veiligheid te evalueren van ischemische conditionering op afstand (RIC) bij patiënten met Lymfoom die antracyclines krijgen. Patiënten die ≥5 chemotherapiecycli zullen ondergaan, komen in aanmerking.
