RESILIENCE helps you survive cancer with a strong heart

Save the date! Open activity RESILIENCE in Thursday November 7th

In the framework of the Madrid Science and Innovation Week to be celebrated in Madrid on November 4-17th, our team RESILIENCE has planned an activity open to public of all ages upon registration.

There will be a workshop and roundtable under the title “What is the relationship between cardiovascular disease and cancer?”. The participants in this workshop will learn first-hand about the use of technology, cardiac magnetic resonance, echocardiography and cardiac tomography (CTA); and innovation in this research project, aimed at improving the lives of cancer patients.

The activity will be guided by Andrea Moreno, research cardiologist at the Translational Laboratory for Cardiovascular Imaging and Therapy at the CNIC, along with other members of the RESILIENCE team.

RESILIENCE H2020 is a project funded by the European Commission to reduce the incidence of heart failure in patients who have overcome cancer.

The Madrid Science and Innovation Week is an event for scientific dissemination and citizen participation organized by the Community of Madrid through the Fundación para el Conocimiento Madri+d whose objective is to actively involve society in research and development in science, technology and innovation.

On Friday September 27th 2024 from 11:00 to 12:30 h we also organized an open activity in the framework of the European Researchers’ Night, the workshop and roundtable “RESILIENCE: Survive cancer with a strong heart” at CNIC. The European Researchers’ Night is a project that supports the careers of researchers and is celebrated in more than 350 European cities.
