The RESILIENCE project was featured at the Annual Congress of the European Hematology Association (EHA), held in Milan from June 12 to 15th. The session focused on quality of life in oncology patients, with special attention to individuals living with hematological malignancies such as lymphomas and leukemias.
Two researchers from the RESILIENCE consortium participated as speakers. Dr. Raúl Córdoba opened the session with an overview of quality of life and its assessment in patients with hematological disorders. This was followed by a presentation from Dr. Borja Ibáñez, Principal Investigator of the RESILIENCE project, who introduced the study, described how cancer patients are actively involved in its design and implementation, and shared preliminary aggregated results from quality-of-life questionnaires, particularly those related to hematological conditions.
The presentation was met with great interest and generated numerous questions from the audience. Attendees particularly appreciated the project’s focus on integrating patient-reported outcomes and quality-of-life assessments into the clinical trial framework.
