RESILIENCE helps you survive cancer with a strong heart

Hospital 12 de Octubre joins RESILIENCE

On Thursday June 1st Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre  in Madrid has joined the RESILIENCE project and it will most probably begin to recruit patients in the coming weeks.

Hospital 12 de Octubre obtained in 2020 the Best in Class (BIC) Award for the Best Service in Hematology and Hemotherapy, the BIC for the Best Service in Hematology and Hemotherapy in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and the BIC for the Best Hematology and Hemotherapy Service in Multiple Myeloma.

The Hospital team shares with us a strong involvement in this trial, whose objective is to strengthen the heart of people who have been treated with anthracyclines to overcome cancer.

At the Hospital we have met with Ana Bella García and Alba Gutiérrez de la Peña, hematology clinical trial coordinators, and Ana Jiménez, Principal Investigator of the study and hematologist.

Our RESILIENCE project keeps on growing with the increase in the number of patients and hospitals where it is developed, thanks to the teams that are involved and work hard every day with dedication and strong motivation.
