RESILIENCE grows every day with the incorporation of new centers that expand the network of influence of our project, whose objective is to help people undergoing cancer treatment with anthracyclines to continue their lives with a strong heart.
The latest addition has been the Hospital Universitario Virgen de las Nieves in Granada, with whom we met on the morning of March 29 to offer training prior to joining RESILIENCE so that the hospital can respond to all the needs that arise with the beginning of treatment to patients.
We met with the Principal Investigator of the Center, José Manuel Puerta, and the three Hematology study coordinators, África Vigo Poleo, Victoria Santos Pérez and Sandra Gómez Lopera. We also had the opportunity to discuss the issue of MRI with Genaro López (radiologist) and Laura López (imaging technician).
We returned to Madrid very satisfied with the team’s willingness to participate in RESILIENCE and with their interest in starting to recruit patients very soon.
Our project is thus integrated into the mission of this Hospital, which is to improve the health levels of the population through the provision of specialized, highly qualified, and complex care services.
The Virgen de las Nieves Hospital is a health infrastructure managed by the Andalusian Health Service; It is one of the six regional hospitals in the community, that is, one of the highest-ranking hospitals within the Andalusian Public Health System.
