RESILIENCE-forsøget

Formålet med RESILIENCE-forsøget er at udvikle en ny form for sundhedsmåling, såkaldt fjern iskæmisk prækonditionering (RIC) for at reducere forekomsten af ​​kronisk hjertesvigt hos kræftoverlevere.

Reduktion af hjertesvigt hos kræftoverlevere

Ifølge WHO stiger forekomsten af ​​kræft med ca. 70% over de næste 20 år. Halvdelen af ​​disse kræftdiagnosticerede personer vil overleve i mindst et årti, og denne overlevelsesrate forventes at stige betydeligt i fremtiden.

Fjern iskæmisk prækonditionering

Fjern iskæmisk prækonditionering (RIC) er en behandlingsform, hvor korte sessioner med tillukning og efterfølgende åbning af blod til et ydereliggende organ, f.eks. en arm, gør fjerntliggende organer modstandsdygtige over for skader.

Tværfagligt konsortium

Vi udgør et multidisciplinært konsortium, hvor forskellige interessenter er en del af forsøget – fra forskere til industrier og fra  læger/sygeplejersker til patienter.
